One Random Act of Kindness

Here at The LaunchBox we are passionate believers in Random Acts of Kindness and love the thought of brightening someone’s day up by sending a small surprise gift or paying for a stranger’s takeaway coffee; sadly the latter isn’t possible at the moment. I was the lucky beneficiary of a random act of “paying it forward” several years ago when my husband and I went out for a meal and talked to a couple at the next table. We enjoyed the occasional banter and smiled warmly as they left. When we tried to pay our own bill we were shocked to learn they had paid our full bill including all of the alcohol we had imbibed on a rare night out together. I felt warm and fuzzy inside and was so grateful that I vowed to do it myself whenever I could in future.

Over the years my husband and I have tried to be kind and to help whenever we can. We have bought food and drinks for people living on the streets and we have paid the bill for the next people to buy lunch in some cafes we have been in. Nothing major but we always hope that it just puts a smile on someone’s face who needs it and helps them to remember that there is still a lot of good in the world; and maybe they might just do something nice for someone else. I love the thought of one random act of kindness spreading across a community and bringing smiles when times seem so dark and frustrating.

We talked at The LaunchBox about what we can do to celebrate Random Act of Kindness Day and we all agreed that want to make someone smile who might be struggling right now.

How to enter

If you, or anyone you know, wants to be in with a chance of this free support this is all you need to do to enter is:

1. Pick one of the areas of support that you would like help with - one out of the three available; Website, PR or New Business
   

2. Write a very short paper (no more than 500 words) including the following:

   1. Your name

   2. Your existing social and website links (if you have any)

   3. Which package you would like to win

   4. Why you would like to win the support and what do you want to achieve in your business

   5. Add anything else you think the judges would like to know about you

We will review all entries and our experts will select one winner for each category based on the quality of the application marked against an agreed scorecard. We will then personally get in touch to let the winner know.

Sometimes people really do just want to help others if they can. I am happy that we are a team who all feel the same way and we really hope that this can help three entrepreneurs who are struggling with their marketing right now and who want to grow their business.
